After traveling from Wales, Ireland and other Celtic worlds, St. Gildas settled in this area and used to give mass on a very rough and primitive stone pulpit (which is inside this church!).
Due to its Ukrainian influence, this church looks a little bit weird but it doesn't loses its charm all through out!
One of the more famous Stave Church from the 28 that is still standing, no renovations has been made and is still keep in its original form for a long time.
This colorful piece built in 1555 -1561 by Ivan IV (a.k.a Ivan the Terrible) to celebrate the capture of the Khanate of Kazan. It was built in the old way most Russians buildings were made, colorful and with amazing shapes!
A church covered in leaves all throughout its structure, expect it to be very breezy!
Religious soldiers have a place to pray, too. It's these kinds of places that reminds them that all of their efforts are never, ever in vain!
